A Quilt of Many Colors
A scrap quilt with all my favorite fabrics from my stash and flying geese blocks paired with their negative, this one was for me!
This quilt uses light, medium and dark blocks. The border is foundation pieced with the scraps from the center to form an irregular frame for the geometric center design.
Summer Windmills
This quilt uses home decorator fabrics which match the curtains in the same room. The center medallion features windmill blocks bordered with soft yellow and green.
Fall Cobblestones
The rich colors of autumn in New England.
Shimmering Stars
A scrap quilt of intense color with shimmering stars.
Christmas Pineapple
This quilt uses Christmas fabrics with a non-traditional color scheme: red, white, and black.
Cranberry Garland
A fortieth birthday present for a friend, this quilt features earthy browns, greens and golds.
Autumn Nine Patch
A Christmas gift for a family member to remind them of the beautiful New England autumns.
A Christmas quilt for a family member featuring jewel tones of purple, teal and green.
At the Corner
Bold maroons and gold from a plaid on the lap-size quilt.
A Christmas quilt for a family member in New Zealand to capture the bright colors of that country.
Scotland Photo Quilt #1
A photo quilt to honor a long-time friendship. The photos were taken during several trips to Scotland. The fabric backing is a cotton version of the family's plaid.
Scotland Photo Quilt #2
Made for a second member of the same family, this quilt features 12 photos and used the same cotton, plaid fabric on the back.
Soft pastels accented with navy cross-bars, this quilt was donated to hospice care in memory of a friend's mother.
Modern Mix
This bright colored quilt features batik fabrics "hourglass" blocks in two sizes. It serves as a confort quilt for a dear friend.
A fun scrap quilt from the "Happy Hour" book by Atkinson Designs. A fun way to use my favorite reds!
Sand and Sea
A retirement gift for our local librarian (who has watched my children grow into young adulthood). The soothing colors remind us all to take time to relax and enjoy!
All Squared Up
A comfort quilt in bright colors to cheer up a friend. The borders are each individually quilted with a different design.
Stash Quilt
This quilt is made from half-square triangles from a variety of orange, brown and bright green fabrics. With the exception of the backing, it came entirely from my stash.
Ring Around
I fell in love with this combination of browns, greens and blues that had collected in my stash. Machine quilted in a ripple-water pattern to emphasize the "earthy" feel, this quilt is for me!
Shop Hop Quilt
I participated in a Shop Hop in which each step of the directions was given at each participating shop. Using some fat quarters purchased on the Hop and adding fabrics from my stash resulted in this bright and fun quilt.
Confetti for Gram
Made in loving memory of my Gram, this quilt was donated to the hospice which cared for her with such kindness and compassion.
A Quilt for Julie
Made to celebrate a quilting friendship, this quilt features fabrics from my collection and those given to me by my quilting friend.
Pop Rocks Quilt
From the book "Cozy Modern Quilts" by Kim Schaefer. Just loved the bright floral fabrics and matched them with others in my stash. Quilted with a daisy pantograph."
