This quilt uses light, medium and dark blocks. The border is foundation pieced with the scraps from the center to form an irregular frame for the geometric center design.

A friend wanted to reproduce a Civil War-era quilt that had been handed down through her family. This quilt utilizes reproduction fabrics and a modified Log Cabin design.

The original pattern interpreted the design as daisies, but to me it looks like umbrellas on a beach.

This quilt is made from half-square triangles from a variety of orange, brown and bright green fabrics. With the exception of the backing, it came entirely from my stash.

I fell in love with this combination of browns, greens and blues that had collected in my stash. Machine quilted in a ripple-water pattern to emphasize the "earthy" feel, this quilt is for me!

I participated in a Shop Hop in which each step of the directions was given at each participating shop. Using some fat quarters purchased on the Hop and adding fabrics from my stash resulted in this bright and fun quilt.

Made in loving memory of my Gram, this quilt was donated to the hospice which cared for her with such kindness and compassion.
